BOOK GROUP
Our Book Group consists of
13 members who meet once a month in a member’s home. For a subscription of only £2.00 per month we have access to
a small private “library” of constantly changing books with about 200
available at any one time. Over 1,200 books have been bought
altogether.
Once a year each member
takes £26.00 to spend on books of her choice to add to the collection and, once
everyone who wants to has read them, they are hers to take away.
Although we do not
have in-depth discussions on individual books, as we return books each month we
make comments and recommendations on them.
This way we find that we are encouraged to read books which we otherwise
would not have considered.
